Anish Giri versus Magnus Carlsen – Game Drawn

Magnus Carlsen wins the Tata Steel Masters 2019.  He drew his last round game and finished with a half point lead over the rest of the pack.   Richard Rapport had a crushing win over Jorden Van Foreest who didn’t even get out of the opening.  This miniature shows how important it is to castle early.  Black’s King was caught in the center with lines opening up; a receipt for disaster.   Finally, Kramnik could not claw his way out of the cellar and lost his game to Samuel Shankland.
