Boy, 11, becomes youngest to win World Othello …
An 11-year-old Japanese boy making his first appearance at the World Othello Championship walked away with the crown, becoming the youngest winner ever.
Keisuke Fukuchi, a fifth-grader from Yokohama, competed Oct. 9-12 in the Czech capital of Prague.
He broke the record for youngest title holder set 36 years ago, according to the Japan Othello Association in Tokyo.
Computer Othello video game was released in 1978 exclusively in Japan. It was the first video game both published and developed by Nintendo, and the first game developed by Nintendo R&D1. (Not the first video game Nintendo was involved with..) Computer Othello is a tabletop arcade game that was later released for retail with the release of Computer TV Game.
